What is this study about, and what's involved?
This questionnaire is part of an ongoing research project into hairdressing and hair-care practices. The aim of the study is to get independent evidence of the effects of conditioner use on hair - more precisely the effect of stopping using conditioner on hair. To take part in this study it is necessary that you use conditioner at least sometimes, and that you have not used conditioner at least once after shampooing, so any differences in hair condition as a result of NOT using conditioner can be assessed.

We are exposed to constant marketing information from businesses whose aim is to get as many people using as much product as possible for commercial ends. It is therefore important to have independent sources of evidence, especially when using or over-using unnecessary products that can be damaging to hair, to our heating bills (heating water costs is typically the highest energy consuming activity that takes place in our homes) and to the environment.

This study is only applicable to those who sometimes apply conditioner to their hair after shampooing. Before you complete this survey you should have stopped using conditioner at least once after shampooing.
