Membership application form. Membership enables you to participate in joint decision-making, and also share in any bonus that the Co-operative may distribute, either equally or in accordance with some other equitable formula which recognises the relative contribution made by each Member to the business of the Co-operative. This is a multi-stakeholder cooperative and we will invite several groups to join for free. These include:

1. Anyone who submitted a song
2. A teacher who supervised entry into the competition
3. Anyone who crowdfunded the musical
4. Anyone who has volunteered time/expertise

If you do not fit into any of these categories you can pay an annual subscription of £10 to join. We'll send details once you complete this form. 

You have to be 16+ to join so if you submitted a song but are under 16, you can join when you are 16, or your parent/legal guardian can join instead.

You do not have to be a member of the cooperative for your song to be in the musical, but membership allows you input into decisions (if you like) and a share in any success.

There is no reason to worry about becoming a member, it is risk-free because you are not legally responsible for actions taken by the directors or liable for any debts, except to the tune of a nominal £1 (rarely collected!)

Please tick (check) this box to indicate that you apply to become a Member of a Musical by the People Ltd and agree to pay, whilst continuing our Membership, the appropriate annual subscription (if any). We also undertake to contribute up to the sum of £1 to the assets of the Co-operative in the event of it being wound up while we are a Member or within one year of me ceasing to be a Member. Each Member’s contribution shall not exceed £1 (one pound).
