About the Study

Thank you for doing this study. It has been approved by the Ethics Committee at the School of Psychology, University of Southampton, United Kingdom (Ref. 26708).

Before deciding whether to consent or not, please read the following information.

We are psychologists at the University of Roehampton, UK (Dr Nikhila Mahadevan) and the University of Southampton, UK (Dr Aiden P Gregg and Professor Constantine Sedikides).

We request your participation in a short online study that will take about 5 minutes.

The study will ask you questions about your personality and behaviour, in the context of your social world. A full explanation will be provided to you once you complete the study.

The survey is open to U.S. adults aged 18 and above who are proficient in English, only.

You should complete the survey in private, alone at your computer.

Remember that there are no right or wrong answers.

Your participation is anonymous, so please feel free to provide completely honest responses.

There are no conceivable risks involved in completing this survey beyond those associated with everyday living (such as reading the newspaper).
