Before deciding whether to take part in this study, please read the following information. You will need to indicate that you have understood this information before you can continue and give consent to participate in this study.

You must also be 25 years of age or older and have been involved in a current romantic relationship for more than 4 months to participate.

About this study

This study aims to examine the extent to which romantic relationship quality and emotions are related. This study will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. You will be asked to think about your current relationship and then state the extent to which you agree to each of the statements.

You should complete the study when you are alone at your computer and your responses cannot be overseen. Please take your time to respond to the questions thoughtfully and openly. Please also make sure that you have 20 minutes free time when you start the survey in order to fill in all questions without interruptions. Remember that there are no right or wrong answers – so feel free to provide completely honest responses.

*For students from the University of Southampton, upon completion of the survey via iSurvey, you will receive 3 research credits in exchange for your time. 

*Non-student participants can receive 1 entry into a raffle for a £50 Amazon voucher through entering your email at the end of the survey.

There are no significant risks involved in this study. Some of the statements may cause you to think about personal or sensitive topics, and though we have tried to ensure that the study does not cause any distress, this may cause some individuals to experience temporary feelings of negative emotions.
