Re-designing Highfield Interchange to reduce pollutant emissions from buses

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

The survey is part of my BEng Civil Engineering Individual Project at the University of Southampton.

The aim of my project is to investigate how exposure of waiting passengers to pollution from buses and other traffic can be reduced at the Highfield Interchange bus station. For this, I have devised a number of potential bus stop re-configuration scenarios, and through this survey I wish to explore their acceptability by bus passengers. You have been asked to take part, as you are a University of Southampton student or staff who is likely to be a regular or infrequent user of Highfield Interchange.

The survey comprises a total of 15 questions and takes a maximum 10 minutes to complete. Your participation is entirely voluntary and you may withdraw at any time.

By participating to the survey you are supporting my work with your valuable insights and you are contributing to the better design of Highfield Interchange and bus facilities in general in years to come.

Your cooperation is highly valued and greatly appreciated.

Should you have any questions about the survey or the research in general, please feel free to contact me directly: cmn1g18@soton.ac.uk
