MOOC stands for Massive Open Online Course.
Many universities have been offering MOOCs, individually or through various platforms and initiatives such as Coursera, edX, Udacity, Open2Study etc .
University of Southampton, through the UK initiative called FutureLearn will start offering MOOCs this Autumn (2013).
As a small side project supporting activities taking place in preparation for the MOOCs, we are looking into characteristics and motivation of current learners aged 18 and over who are taking up MOOCs.
It should take no longer than 10 minutes of your time, all data will be collected and kept anonymously and there are no particular risks associated with participating.
